A semi-active U.S. Army Installation, Fort George G. Meade has been home to the National Security Agency since the 1950’s. But despite its military nature, Fort Meade is a lovely community unto itself. Encompassing nearly 5,500 acres, Fort Meade offers a full range of services and facilities including a credit union, a post office and more. Fort Meade is situated in a picturesque area of Anne Arundel County, between Washington D.C. and Baltimore.
